During this session we will look at some of the functionality in the Build view to assist schools with optimizing student schedules.   Some areas include:

• Term Balance Type on courses
• Course and Student Priorities
• Build Readiness report
• Reviewing course requests including Update Course Request Totals, Request Count Verification
• Conflict Matrix screen
• Course Sequencing Rule
• Load Analysis process

Database applications try their best to present information in broadly useful ways, but there will always be challenging questions.
Consider how one would tackle these:

• Which authorised parents/guardians don’t have family portal access enabled?
• Which students graduated with a Dual Dogwood in 2024?
• Which students took Workplace Math in 2023?

All of these are simple tasks at the Global top tab, which is a treasure trove of useful information. It is also a window into the underlying structure of how MyEd/Aspen is built.
